International Allowance (Turkish staff)

Superseded, and with no owner. It should not go live as-is — it is here so the decision gets made rather than deferred again.

The Notion source opens by pointing readers at ATÖLYE's Travel Policy "for up to date details", then presents its own content under a red TO BE UPDATED banner. The content dates from September 2020, sets rates in USD, and includes hotel-quarantine doubling. It has been sitting in the live Policies tree for six years with its Owner field pointing at someone who has left the workspace.

npm run validate refuses to deploy this page. That is deliberate. Three ways out:

  1. Delete it and let the Travel Policy be the single source. Most likely correct.
  2. Fold the current rates into the Travel Policy, then delete this page.
  3. Rewrite it with today's rates and a live owner, if it really is a separate policy.

The content is preserved below so nothing is lost while that is decided.

Rates below are from September 2020 and are not believed to be current.

ATÖLYE pays an additional daily amount, in TL equivalent, for project days spent abroad:

Lead and Director net 50 USD net 100 USD
Associate and Designer net 30 USD net 60 USD

The quarantine doubling was a response to pandemic-era hotel quarantine and is almost certainly obsolete.

Conditions as written

  1. Applies from September 2020, for projects that generate revenue.
  2. Does not apply to activities such as business development.
  3. Covers ATÖLYE team members working in Turkey. The Dubai team and other locations are not included.
  4. The project lead and PM give finance the record of time spent abroad and in quarantine. The PM submits names and workdays to finance on the 25th of each month.
  5. Does not cover contractors.

Turkish version

The Notion source carried a full Turkish translation. It is not reproduced here because the content itself is superseded — translating obsolete rates doubles the work of retiring them. If this policy is rewritten rather than deleted, the TR version should be written from the new EN source rather than carried forward.
